Our Story
Local Value Legacy was founded to bridge the gap between social value ambition and real-world delivery.
The idea for Local Value Legacy began through conversations between a group of friends working across different areas of social value, education, sustainability and community engagement. During a catch-up in the pub, we found ourselves discussing the lack of opportunities available within many rural and underserved communities across the UK - and how organisations could create far greater local impact by investing directly into the communities that need it most.
Our founders Kevin & Charlton both grew up in small villages in the North East of England - a region that continues to face some of the UK’s highest levels of poverty and some of the lowest levels of employment opportunity and social mobility. Now living and working in London and having built careers across social value, education, sustainability and community impact, we reached a point where we wanted to bring our collective experience together to help create more equal access to opportunities across the UK.
Today, Local Value Legacy combines national delivery capability with strong local engagement, ensuring every programme is tailored to the communities it supports. Whether working with nominated schools and partners or through our own established network, we focus on delivering programmes that are practical, engaging and measurable.
